To Our Rekonect Family:
We know that this has been a long wait for our product to be released and we, as a team, cannot wait for you to receive it! We made our start on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter.com, where a generous community funded us to get our start. Since our Kickstarter campaign ended in December we have been working around the clock to get all of the parts of our notebook in place. In these past months we have experienced a lot of success, but due to the nature of our product we have experienced some difficulties along the way. The Rekonect Notebook is an innovation of the traditional notebook. This means that the production process had to be created from the ground up. With us being a startup company, this is something that has been the most challenging along the way.
The actual notebook itself, excluding the paper, are being prepared for shipment from our manufacturers. The issue that we have been experiencing is with the consistency of quality in our paper machine. The quality is something that is unacceptable for shipping and this has caused a major delay in getting the pre-orders out to you in the timeline that was originally given for April.
We want to do our fulfillment process in the the same way that they were ordered. We will complete our Kickstarter orders first, then fulfill our website orders in the order that they were placed.
Once we have our paper machine consistently giving the quality that is owed to our backers, we will be able to give a concrete timeline of when you can expect your notebook.
